Sad, Sad Summer.
I tore my meniscus in early July and spent most of the summer watching people enjoy the gorgeous weather from my fifth floor apartment window. Had to go to Canada for orthoscopic surgery in August and now still having physiotherapy. Ouchie.

Book is Nearly Here!!!
In June I went to TASCHEN’s headquarters in Koln, Germany to look over the proofs of my upcoming book “America Swings.” While there I ate a significant amount of schnitzel and signed 1500 cover sheets.
Deelishis.
After last year’s Art Basel I flew home out of Ft. Lauderdale. While in the bathroom I heard this lady talking on her cell phone outside my stall. The voice was so familiar but imagine my surprise when I came out and found London “Deelishis” Charles, the winner of Flavor of Love Season 2!
Happy New Year’s!
Ok, so this picture is from last years Polar Bear Club New Year’s Day dip, but I still did it, hooray!

New: Celebrity Corner!
Sometimes the person I’m photographing is famous, sometimes I just stumble upon the sort of well known. These are some of my favourites from the last few years. I’ll update as I stalk, I mean meet the stars.
Was in Las Vegas shooting the Maloof Brothers for ESPN and happened upon MC Hammer and Emmanuel Lewis from the first season of the Surreal Life:

Went to Basel, Switzerland to photograph Dr. Albert Hofmann, the inventor of LSD. Hard to believe he was 100 years old:

Was in Chicago this past summer shooting soccer phenomenon Cuauhtemoc Blanco, the grand marshal of the Mexican Parade, and was lucky enough to be cuddled by the one and only Don King:

Image Makers, Image Takers
Included among 20 established photographers such as Martin Parr, Rankin, David La Chapelle, and Alec Soth in the Thames & Hudson book: “Image Makers, Image Takers” written by Anne-Celine Jaeger. The book combines interviews and portfolios of photographers from backgrounds such as Fine Art, Documentary and Portraiture.
The New Erotic Photography
Check out Taschen’s The New Erotic Photography, edited by Dian Hanson and Eric Kroll. It’s a 608 page book featuring 82 photographers from 14 countries including Terry Richardson, Natacha Merritt, Petter Hegre, and Richard Kern, and many fresh new talents currently redefining eroticism, including me!
GREEN CARD!
Hooray! After waiting for nearly 4 years, I finally received my green card in December 2006.
